The Position and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Support Assistant for Kvarnhagen's daily activities within LSS in Botkyrka Municipality.

You will work to plan, implement, and follow up on meaningful activities together with participants who have various disabilities. The activities are designed based on the individual's needs and may include creative activities, gardening, baking, movement, or social activities.

Your work includes working based on implementation plans, documenting efforts in the Lifecare system, and continuously following up to ensure that the goals in the plans are met. You will have contact with relatives and collaborate with colleagues, coordinators, LSS caseworkers, and other stakeholders to ensure that participants receive the right support.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • planning, leading, and adapting activities based on participants' individual needs
  • working with implementation plans and documenting in Lifecare
  • collaborating with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals
  • being responsible for daily structure and creating clarity in the operations
  • contributing to a safe, supportive, and developmental context for the participants.

The work is about creating a meaningful and structured everyday life for each individual. Through a clear, respectful, and solution-focused approach, you contribute to participants having the opportunity to develop, feel involved, and achieve increased independence at their own pace.

We Offer You

Working in daily activities in Botkyrka Municipality means more than just a job – it is an opportunity to make a real difference every day. With us, you will meet participants with LSS support who, with their presence, energy, and joy, fill the workday with meaning. As a support assistant/work supervisor, you will have great freedom to design activities creatively, based on each participant's needs and conditions. Together with experienced and committed colleagues, you create a safe and developmental environment where both participants and employees can grow.

We value initiative and see your ability to contribute to the development of the operations as an important asset. Here, you will work in an environment where both professional responsibility and personal commitment are valued. The work is scheduled during daytime hours from Monday to Friday, providing good conditions for a balance between work and leisure. With us, you will be part of a team that together creates meaningful, structured, and joyful days for our participants.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a high school education in the healthcare and nursing program or the child and leisure program, or alternatively basic and special pedagogical education (GPU and PPU).

Other requirements for the position:

  • Experience working with individuals within LSS, both individually and in groups.
  • Experience using digital tools and systems for documentation and follow-up.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF), and mental health issues.
  • Experience leading or participating in creative activities, such as painting, textiles, or other creative expressions.

Meritorious:

  • Experience and competence in visually clarifying pedagogy and communication support, such as AAC (alternative and augmentative communication).
  • Experience in meeting and managing challenging behaviors with structure and safety.

To thrive and succeed in the role of support assistant, it is important that you are confident in your professional role and in meeting participants with different needs. Your stability creates a predictable and respectful environment where each individual can feel safe, which is the foundation for development. You are also creative and have the ability to adapt activities based on participants' interests and conditions – focusing on strengthening independence, participation, and joy in everyday life.

You are collaborative and see the value in working together with colleagues, relatives, and other stakeholders. By sharing knowledge, communicating clearly, and contributing your experience, you create good conditions for achieving common goals. We also value a solution-oriented approach, where you can adapt support measures as needs change with engagement and initiative. Your contribution is important in creating an environment where participants feel seen, empowered, and included.
